Samsung Exynos 5250 Cortex A15 Processor Dual Core 2 Ghz - 2X Faster than a Cortex A9

Posted by newbie Thursday, December 1, 2011 0 comments

Samsung has announced the Exynos 5250, a system on a chip (SoC) with dual central processor (CPU) based on ARM designs A15. This chip will run at a speed of 2GHz, and it's interesting because at the same frequency it should be up to 2X faster than the Cortex A9 designs currently used in most high-end SoCs.

This is possible because Cortex A15 can execute two instructions simultaneously similar to features that have been proven to be introduced on the Intel Pentium PC original. Combined that with the double frequency and there is great potential for a very fast chip.

Samsung also mentions that updates the graphics processor will raise a maximum resolution of 2506 1600 pixels, and that the memory bandwidth doubled to 12.8GB / s.

It is necessary to handle the extra resolution, but the bandwidth lebihbermanfaat in general because it is always a problem for high performance applications. Video recording is capable of handling 1080p resolution video at a speed of 60 frames per second (FPS).

Finally, 3D stereo sound is also supported thanks to HDMI1.4 port, and the chip itself also supports SATA, USB 3.0 and other I / O standards yangdapat useful for computing devices based on ARM Windows 8 ...

Samsung said the possibility of "sample" chip will appear in the second half of 2012, which would mean the availability of actual product may present more or less in Q4 2012, or possibly in Q1 2013.

Specs wise. the Galaxy Nexus spots a 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 resolution, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, a 5 megapixel camera in the rear with LED Flash, zero shutter lag, and 1080p HD recording, a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth 3.0, 32GB of internal storage, and USB 2.0.  This device also features an embedded NFC module, an accelerometer, a compass, a gyro, a proximity sensor, and interesting enough a barometer has also been included. There is an HSPA+ model of the Galaxy Nexus as well as an LTE version, which will be available in certain regions.
The Galaxy Nexus will be hitting North America, Europe, Japan and the rest of Asia in November.
The only carrier they mentioned at launch was Japans NTT DoCoMo. So the new Nexus status on U.S. Verizon and whether it will be an exclusive there is still unclear. And knowing that Google and Samsung cancelled Oct. 11th U.S. launch and moved it to Hong Kong there might be something funny going between them and Verizon.

The New iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S II

Posted by newbie Wednesday, October 12, 2011 0 comments

Samsung Galaxy S II and the iPhone 4S can be considered as bitter rivals as these are some of the most superior phones ever create. The Samsung Galaxy S II also created headlines after 10 million units of the device has been shipped worldwide excluding the United States.

In terms of processor, the Samsung Galaxy S II beats Apple iPhone 4S as it sports a 1.2 GHz as well as a 1.5 GHz (T-Mobile variant) dual-core processor while the iPhone 4S only have a 1GHz dual-core ARM Cortex A9 processor. As for the camera, both phones have an 8MP sensor although the lens of the iPhone 4S supports a wide aperture of f2.4 which would help in low lighting conditions.

Samsung Galaxy S II has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen which is a bigger than the iPhone 4S 3.5-inch Retina display. In terms of operating system on the other hand, a lot of people may find the iOS a lot better and
attractive as compared with the messy Android interface which then gives the iPhone 4S an advantage here.

May it be the iPhone 4S or the Samsung Galaxy S II, you would be satisfied with any of these two phones as they are spectacular. As of date, you may not find any phone as good as these.
