"They may in fact be faster," said Samsung's head of investor relations, Robert Yi.
Curved mobile phone sounds like science fiction. Besides Samsung, Nokia also is working to develop the same technology.
Yi said, this product will be the first in the world, a phone with a flexible screen. This application will be possible to apply also on the tablet of their output.
Rival smartphone Samsung, Nokia, also unveiled a prototype basis Kinectic, flexible Nokia phones. Kinectic allows the user to bend the screen to control functions such as music and video.
Nokia declined to say when Kinectic smartphones will be sold.
Previously Samsung has shown a demonstration of a foldable OLED screen. AMOLED, the screen is 4.5 inches and only 0.3 mm thick, the user will follow any direction the phone is folded, like paper.
In January, the scientists show off a Samsung AMOLED screen with a part that can be folded over completely without cracking.
