Sprint comes out with its latest Android-powered smartphone: The Motorola Photon, which will begin its retail rounds on July 31.
The Sprint Photon features a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 4.3-inch HD display with 960 x 540 resolution, Android 2.3, 8-megapixel back-facing camera, a VGA front-facing camera, 16GB onboard memory, a 32GB microSD card slot, and a kickstand just to make it fancy. Aside from the usual Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, this smartphone is considered as Sprint�s first �global� WiMax phone. It runs on Sprint�s 3G and WiMax in the US, but it also functions on international GSM standards.
The Motorola Photon will be offered for $200 with a two-year contract with Sprint. Pretty reasonable if you ask me.
