Dell's Latitude XT3 convertible tablet eschews the dock concept and attaches the display to the keyboard instead; permanently. It features a flexible swivel hinge that allows you to use the screen in a whole variety of viewing angles.

While this will lead to a heavier device, you'll get the convenience of being able to whip out the physical keyboard/trackpad every time you use it instead of having to set up the dock and plug it in. Perfect for people who are rarely at their desks and need to bring their work everywhere. The Latitude XT3 features a nice capacitive 13.3? HD LCD touchscreen display with multi-touch (up to four fingers), as well as pen input. A touchpad, keyboard and mouse support give users even more choices when it comes to input.

Odd but expected, Dell had skipped the US debut and jump straight over to China, announcing its first 10.1-inch Honeycomb tablet in China. As usual, it's running the very-familiar 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 T20 chip, with 1GB of DDR2 RAM. The 10-inch LCD panel has 1280 x 800 resolution and is protected by the mighty gorilla, much like its smaller brother the 5-inch Streak. There's also the 5 megapixel camera and 2 megapixel camera back and front, and regular-size SDHC expansion. That said, Chinese buyers can grab this 16GB WiFi tablet plus 2GB of cloud storage for just �2,999 ($465) a pop � a slightly more attractive price compared to its competitors.

Dell's third Android tablet, the Streak 10 Pro, has finally appeared in a live photo � not alone, but standing next to the older 7-inch and 5-inch Streaks, this allowing us to see just how big the new tablet is.

Interestingly, the photo shows Android Honeycomb running not only on the Streak 10 Pro, but also on the Streak 7, which may mean an official update will come to the latter tablet (launched with Android 2.2 Froyo back in March).

As previously rumored, the Dell Streak 10 Pro should be released in China starting this week, although we're still short on details regarding its price. The big Honeycomb Streak offers a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 800 pixels, GPS, Wi-Fi, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, and a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor.

At the moment, Dell doesn't know if it's going to offer the Streak 10 Pro in occidental markets or not. It will wait and see how sales in China go, and only then decide.

Dell has been working their way up the ruler over the past year or two, releasing the 5-inch Dell Streak followed by a 7-inch version of the tablet. But with the Dell Streak Pro, the manufacturer is finally playing with the big boys. The 10-inch tablet has been pictured sitting pretty next to its smaller counterparts, flexing its Honeycomb muscle in all its glory. The Streak Pro marks Dell�s first Android 3.0 slate and also sports a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU, 1GB of RAM, and dual cameras. The 10.1-inch screen has a resolution of 1280�800.

The Streak Pro is said to be headed to China this week, though no mention has been made of a release in other markets.

After some pictures of it leaked yesterday, Dell has finally launched its third Android-powered tablet in China. The Dell Streak 10 Pro joins the Streak 5 and Streak 7 in Dell's portfolio and excitingly adds the world Pro to its name for no apparent reason.

The Dell Streak 10 Pro, is, in terms of specs, your average run of the mill Android Honeycomb 10.1-inch tablet. It has a 10.1-inch 1280�800 touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, a dual-core 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage space, an SD card slot, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a secondary front-facing 2-megapixel camera, dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb and weighs 727 g. Dell claims up to 12 hours of battery life, but we all know how realistic computer manufacturers' estimates about battery life usually are (except Apple in recent years), so make of that what you wish.

The Dell Streak 10 Pro enables both work and play by using the Dell Divide application, which delivers a clear balance between your personal and professional information. In work mode, you can access the corporate network and apps, and in personal mode you can do all the personal stuff people do on tablets. All without worrying that your employer may have access to your personal photos, for instance, and without compromising access to any sensitive work data. Your personal and professional stuff is kept safe, secure and, most importantly, separate from one another.

An interesting experiment, this. As is the fact that the tablet launches in China first, and Dell isn't yet sure if it will also sell it elsewhere. It plans to wait and see how things go on the Chinese market first, then make up its mind about global availability based on what it's learned in China.

Of course, we've seen the Streak 10 Pro many times before, even earlier this week when we heard that the launch was imminent. The Dell Streak 10 Pro will become available online at Dell, and in Dell-authorized retail channels (which can be found in more than 2,000 cities) in the country in the next couple of weeks.

The Dell Streak 10 Pro costs RMB 3,699, which amounts to approximately $575 or �403 at today's exchange rates. However, Dell has a special offer for those of you who order a Streak 10 Pro today. If you choose to do that, you'll only pay RMB 2,999 for the tablet, so just $466 or �327.

Back in June, Dell officially announced that China would be the first country to get the brand new Streak 10 Pro tablet, but it didn't say when exactly this would happen.

Now, if we're to believe VR-Zone and its �reliable source�, it looks like the new Streak will be launched later this week in China. Unfortunately, we still don't know how much the Streak 10 Pro will cost, and we still don't have an official photo of it.

After releasing it in China, Dell should introduce the new tablet in other countries � this will be evaluated based on its success in the Chinese market.

We really do not hear much about Windows-based tablets with all the iPad versus Android war going on. But with the looming release of Windows 8, some companies want to hitch a ride anyway, one of which is Dell and its Peju tablet. Recently, new information about the upcoming device was leaked online.

A blog called Dell Peju Insider popped out and its latest (and only) post gave a supposed list of specs for the tablet. This includes a 10.1-inch Gorilla Glass touchscreen with 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB or 120GB of solid-state drive, digitizer pen support, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, a docking station with a variety of ports, Windows 7 Pro (which can be upgraded to Windows 8), and up to 8 hours of battery life.

With the looks of it, the Dell Peju could be targetting home consumers, especially with the inclusion of the docking station. The �insider blog� claims that the tablet will be released at around October 2011.

Dell has announced that its upcoming Streak 10 Pro tablet will be launched first in China this summer. Dell's Vice President for mobile devices John Thode points to several �inhibitors and barriers to success� as its reasons why the tablet device would not debut in the United States where the company is based. These so-called inhibitors include mobile carriers dictating pricing models, which Thode says stifle the adoption of tablets.

The Dell Streak 10 Pro features a 10-inch screen with 1,280 x 800 resolution, an edge-to-edge glass surface, Android Honeycomb, NVIDIA Tegra dual-core processor, two cameras, a SD card slot, and 1080p video playback capability. A separate dock would allow the tablet to serve as a USB host, while its connectivity functions would expand to HDMI and Ethernet apart from USB.

But don't fret, America. The Streak 10 Pro will arrive in The Land of the Free by 2012, by that time with a newer version of Android.

Dell has just confirmed that it has a 10-inch Android tablet called Streak 10 Pro (yeah, we knew this was its final name).

Interestingly, the new Streak will be launched in China first, sometime "later this summer", with other markets being evaluated in the second half of the year.

But why did Dell choose China? Well, because it's a fast-growing market, and the company has about 10,000 retail locations where customers can find its products. And also because:

In China, access to Google applications and the Android Market is not available today in many cases. Therefore, the end product (encompassing the hardware, software, and availability of applications, services and solutions) delivered in China will be significantly different to what would be delivered in many other countries. That's why it makes sense to start there. We will use what we learn in China to shape mobile products we'll offer in other places down the road. Offering an Android 10" tablet in these markets at a later date allows developers more time to create robust apps, particularly for mobile professionals.

John Thode, Dell's Vice President for mobile devices, has shared a Honeycomb-flavored snippet of his company's tablet roadmap with CNET. The 10-inch Android tablet shown at CES and will indeed be making its debut in the summer, according to Thode, but its launch market will be China (Asia), not the US. And the reason given is?

Well, Thode points to a number of �inhibitors and barriers to success� in Dell's homeland � such as mobile carriers dictating pricing models that stifle the adoption of tablets and users being unaware of �what exactly Android is bringing� � as the causes for Round Rock's atypical decision.

The Streak 10 Pro, as it'll officially be known, comes with a Honeycomb-standard 1280 x 800 resolution screen, an edge-to-edge glass surface, two cameras (one of them reaching a 5 megapixel res), an SD card slot, a thickness of 12mm, and 1080p video playback capabilities courtesy of an unspecified NVIDIA Tegra dual-core processor.

An additional dock will allow the 10 Pro to act as a USB host, while augmenting its connectivity with HDMI, Ethernet, and, obviously, a set of USB ports. The US may still get to enjoy this bounty of options, but is expected to arrive only in 2012, which by then Dell may have one with an Ice Cream already.
