9to5Mac claims to have received some information from an actual Foxconn employee who points to a June release of the much-rumored, long speculated, highly-coveted iPhone 5. Finally.

Previous rumors extending across the entire length of 2011 pointed to a September 2011 release for the iPhone 5, but obviously that didn't happen. Instead, Apple churned out a semi-delayed iPhone 4S and seemingly made Siri the main focal point. The release fell in line with a pattern Apple set with the iPhone 3, launching an updated model a year after the original.

However based on the Foxconn worker's report, iPhone 4S production didn't didn't gear up until Spring 2011, meaning it took around five months to get the first wave of 4S devices to the market. That said, the company looks to be back on track with its customary Summer/WWDC release schedule, as according to the worker, Foxconn is currently gearing up for iPhone 5 production.

Right now there are various sample devices making rounds in bars, offices and whatnot, so it's difficult to pinpoint the final version. Yet they each share a common trait including a 4-inch or larger screen, and a longer, wider symmetrical shape (no teardrop). They also don't have the iPhone 4/4S form factor and they are not final builds.

Based on prior rumors, the iPhone 5 will sport a 4.2- to 4.3-inch qHD screen with a 960 x 540 resolution. It will also reportedly use a quad-core A6 28-nm SoC co-developed by Samsung which is also slated to be packed inside the unannounced iPad 3 tablet.
