Nokia 701: Review of Symbian Belle Smartphone   Nokia  701 is the 2nd Smartphone of Nokia which comes with Symbian Belle. This new device comes with a refreshed UI, excellent graphics performance, brightest screen and great battery life. Additionally, it offers a fast processor and an excess of wireless connections. This device runs on Nokia�s latest OS Symbian Belle and is powered with 1 GHz ARM 11 single core processor. Nokia 701 seems more trendy and curvy then the previous Nokia 700. This device will give typically superior Nokia build quality and the metal shell will provide a sense of solidity. It offers a good durability with finishing of scratch-resistant glass and metal.
In addition to the processor, Nokia 701 comes with a brand new graphics co-processor which has faster speed and 4 times more graphics memory than previous Symbian devices. Nokia 701 sports a 3.5� IPS LCD display which provides 360 X 640 pixels resolution and it comes with a distinctive feature of ClearBlack technology. It is easy to see the display in sunlight due to extra brightness. It also sports Corning Gorilla Glass for additional durability. Great viewing angles are provided with IPS features. This device is featured with 8-MP full focus rear camera with LED flash which gives a liberty to carry simple digital camera with the capability to record 720p full HD videos. It also sports a secondary front camera for video calling.
This device is supported with the internal memory of 8GB which can be expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card. It has a 1300mAh battery which provides standby time of almost 23 days and talk time of 17 hours. This device has a broad list of features including Bluetooth 3.0, pentaband radio with HSUPA 3G, NFC, Wi-Fi connectivity, micro USB 2.0, GPS and FM radio. The dimensions of this device are 117.2mm x 56.8mm x 11mm and its weight is 131g.
The device holds the ultra-bright IPS-LCD ClearBlack display of nHD resolution. It is assuming that, this device has the brightest display of the world. The brightness of this screen helps to beat the first-gen ClearBlack and SuperAMOLED Plus displays. You can attain superb sunlight legibility with this brightness. Excellent viewing angles of 160-degree are provided by the IPS technology. The screen sensitivity of Nokia 701 is as good as predictable from capacitive units. The pixel count of this display is only 60% of WVGA displays but the pixel density is nearly identical.
The 8MP camera of Nokia 701 is fixed-focus camera with dual-LED flash, which gives a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. It gives a row of shortcuts like Flash mode, Back, Scenes, Extended options and Menu. The shortcuts to exit the camera app, launch the user guide and toggle between the rear and front camera are also available. Virtual shutter key and a toggle for the video/still modes both are provided on the right. Digital zoom lever is provided on the left that auto-hides. You will get extended options like image settings, a self-timer, face detection, geo-tagging and capture tone options. The video recording capability of camera is 720p videos @ 30fps with stereo sound of the dedicated 2nd microphone. The video recording options includes video light, scenes, video stabilization, geo-tagging and audio recording. Video capture is surprisingly well which done in MP4 files with about 127-Kbps stereo sound and 10Mbps bitrate.
