NEC America is back with a new monitor — the 27-inch NEC MultiSync EA273WM. This one’s designed for business users and offers a large 27-inch widescreen panel.

The monitor has LED-backlighting which helps save as much as 52% power compared to select previous generation EA Series models. The firm reports that it also feature a 30% thinner and 25% lighter redesigned chassis.

Specification include 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution, 25,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 300 cd/m² brightness, 1,000:1 typical contrast ratio, 5ms response time, and 160/160 degree viewing angle. I/O connectivity include DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-D and VGA inputs.

The MultiSync EA273WM also boast of integrated 4-port USB 2.0 hub, and integrated (hidden) speakers. Furthermore, it has ControlSync feature which allows users to control up to six EA273WM units in a multi-monitor configuration.

It is now available for $499.
