Tech company Kno may had its bumpy start when it attempted to develop a dual-screen tablet. The textbook-like tablet was very unsuccessful, which eventually lead to Knos selling off its hardware division.

Since then, Kno reinvents itself as a software company. It first brought an educational e-book store to the iPad and now the company is bringing the store to a whole new market: Students with Facebook accounts.
Users simply add the Good to Kno app in their Facebook account, register to Kno.com, and get full access to the e-book store. They can either buy the textbooks they need, all of which must be read in-browser, or rent them for a limited time. This Facebook app, however, currently lacks interactive features found on its iPad version, but that might change in the near future. Nevertheless, Good to Kno has the potential to make students spend more time in Facebook for the good reasons.
Note that these are textbooks, the stuff you read in school, not novels about aspiring wizards and sexy vampires.
