Apple is notorious for denying apps that replicate the functionality of iOS products, which is why it comes as a surprise that the Cupertino-based company has allowed PanAmp to become available for download. PanAmp is a music player that allows users to create playlists even while mobile, something the standard iOS player cannot do.
Early reviews praise the PanAmp for its simple-to-use interface. You can search and order tracks by artist, album, or song title, as well as view current playlists. To create a new playlist, simply flick a song to the right. Meanwhile, flicking the song to the left displays the songs information, including the album it belongs. Tap the song and you can display a cascade view of that songs album.
Take note that you can continue to get full access to your iTunes library and is also compatible to AirPlay. PanAmp will be officially available for iPhone beginning July 14, costing $2.99.
