With the growing popularity of sports today, companies have to satisfy the need of comfortable and tight-sitting headphones and also light-weight music players. What we have here is a new product of Sony’s Walkman brand. The NWZ-W260 series represents a music player baked into the pair of light-weighted headphones. As you have already noticed, the player is intended for sports people therefore it’s coated in water resistant finish.

Designers promise eight hours of hard work and a fast recharge technology. According to them, device will be full-charged after just twenty five minutes. The included software allows you to drag and drop tracks directly from your Windows Media or iTunes (for Windows). Player will be sold in two variations: 2GB version (NWZ-W262) with the price of $ 59.99 and a 4GB version (NWZ-W264) for $ 79.99. It’ll go on sale in August 2011. Knowing the Walkman’s fame, I’m sure it’s worth checking out.

There is also information about future upgrades Sony plans to make. New versions will have from 8GB to 16GB capacity, Bluetooth 2.0 and noise canceling technology. All we have to do is to wait and hope.
