RunCore USB 3.0 ExpressCard Doubles as SSD

Here's a way to put ExpressCard to good use. If you've a laptop (especially desktop replacement) that is made within the last 5 years, the chance is that you have an ExpressCard slot that is likely still unoccupied. RunCore just gives this rarely used slot a new purpose in life. Its latest hybrid ExpressCard/34 adds two USB 3.0 ports and provides 64GB SSD in a single package. Talking about killing two birds with one stone.

The RunCore SSD directly connects to the PCI Express so you get respectable sequential read and write speeds of 110MB/s and 80MB/s. Interestingly, one of the two ExpressCard's USB ports is actually "device interface", suggesting you can use the SSD as an external USB 3.0 drive. When the SSD is busy however, the bandwidth available for the USB 3.0 will significantly drop. There's no word on availability nor there's a price.
