Ice White HTC Sensation confirmed with Android 4.0

Ahead of MWC 2012 Taiwanese handset manufacturer HTC has announced it is to launch an 'Ice White' HTC Sensation with Android 4.0 innards


HTC has revealed it is to follow in the footsteps of Apple and Samsung giving its flagship device a white hued makeover with the newly announced 'Ice White' HTC Sensation to land next month running Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.

Making the announcement ahead of MWC 2012 the Ice White HTC Sensation is the first handset to be unveiled by the Taiwanese handset manufacturer since it announced last month that 2012 would see it release fewer handsets in an attempt to curb consumer confusion. The Ice White HTC Sensation release date has been set for March 1st.

Asides from adding the newly released Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich innards the lightly toned edition of the HTC Sensation is to land sporting the same array of high-end specs as its originally released predecessor.

Touting a 4.3-inch SLCD display with a 540 x 960p resolution and a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor the HTC Sensation was originally unveiled last summer as the latest flagship Android device to come from the company responsible for the HTC Desire and Wildfire S.

Lining up at just 11.3 mm thick and 148g in weight the Ice White HTC Sensation is to land boasting an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera with dual LED flash and Full HD 1080p video recording capabilities.

Nokia Lumia 900 ready for pre-orders now in Microsoft stores

The Nokia Lumia 900 is now ready for pre-orders from Microsoft�s retail stores in the US. The much anticipated Windows Phone will be an AT&T exclusive, resembling an over-sized version of the
elegantLumia 800. The device is expected to launch on March 18, although the date hasn�t been officially confirmed yet.
According to WMPoweruser, you can pre-order your Nokia Lumia 900 today at Microsoft retail stores by paying $25 upfront and you can choose between the two colors of Cyan and Black. The Lumia 900 is expected to feature a 4.3-inch WVGA ClearBlack display, an 8-megapixel Carl Zeiss rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 512MB of RAM, 1.4GHz single-core processor, 16GB of internal memory, and support for AT&T�s LTE network. Rumors have suggested that the handset will be priced at $99 with a new two-year contract.

Do You Still Need An iPod?

When Apple announced its fiscal first quarter earnings last week, which encompassed the three months ended December 2011, much of the attention went to the company�s exceedingly strong
iPhone and iPad sales. There was also a lot of talk about its huge profit and exploding cash reserves.
But lost amid all that talk was Apple�s iPod. That device, which once meant nearly everything to the company�s success or failure, actually saw sales decline 21 percent to 15.4 million units sold worldwide. Over the last several quarters, similar scenarios have played out as consumers increasingly turn to Apple�s iPad and iPhone and turn their backs on the iPod.
Those sales declines make sense. Apple�s iPod has been on store shelves for over a decade now, and the vast majority of consumers who wanted a music player bought one of Apple�s devices long ago; the number of people who actually need an iPod has dwindled.
What�s more, Apple has incorporated iPod functionality into its iPhone and iPad, making the need to carry two devices to place calls and listen to music all but obsolete.
Given that, and considering iPod sales are on the decline, I can�t help but wonder: do we really still need an iPod?

If Apple�s sales last quarter is any indication, there are many of you out there that believes the iPod is still a worthy buy. And to some extent, I can understand that logic. After all, it�s nice to just bring the iPod Nano with you on a long run, rather than strap the iPhone to your shoulder. And getting away from e-mail to enjoy some music every now and then isn�t such a bad thing.
But for the rest of us that don�t necessarily want to get away from work or want all the functionality we need might find little value in iPods nowadays.
Every single Apple music player falls short from a feature perspective when it�s put up against the iPhone. Even the iPod Touch, which delivers all kinds of functionality, doesn�t support wireless calling, making it less-desirable to mobile customers.
Plus, there�s the issue of pricing. In today�s world of high unemployment, skyrocketing credit card bills, and tight budgets, most of us just aren�t willing to spend hundreds of dollars on two devices that can do pretty much the same thing.
Consider this: if you want to buy an iPhone 4S right now, you can get it for as little as $199 with a two-year contract. The 8GB iPod Touch has the exact same price. Even the 8GB iPod Nano is $129.
In other words, for those of us trying to save some cash, buying an iPod doesn�t necessarily make much sense.
As a person who owns three iPods, I can appreciate that many consumers out there don�t want to turn their backs on their favored music players just yet. But I think it�s time we do just that.
The iPod was great in the old days. But now, it�s just another device we care little about.

This attractive deigned phone allows you to wear it on wrist like wrist watch or keep it on your purse or pocket where it belongs: its weight is enough on wrist to comfort its user that it has not been misplaced.
The secret of Philips Fluid�s flexibility are both figurative and literal, it fabrication in flexible OLED display screen which length is almost the entirety to the length of phone. Its display can be change according to its user what type he or she wants to change at a moment. Its numeric keypad appears on it when you need or want to make call. And gaming controls manifest appears when you want to play games in it. And when you search for a specific application then its home screen shows all phone icons smartly on home screen.
Now it is only a concept and this is not available at a moment but it could be available as a consumer product in future. Crytek�s Game GFACE for iOS goes Social � Like never before

Crytek, the designers behind the Crysis sequence of games, are mentioned to be in the improve stages of building a new social games network called GFACE that will be capable of some pretty awesome things. In addition to the features you would expect from any social network, such as the ability to connect with friends and share your experiences, GFACE will offer an amazing game streaming service that allows you to team up with friends and play jointly from a number of different devices.


GFACE brings together the same capabilities you get from the likes of Facebook, Twitter, and Google+, and punches in a cloud-based game streaming service similar to that offered by OnLive. But it has some really wonderful features that make it stand out. Touch Arcade reports:

�It works completely in the browser and lets you do all the sorts of social things you would be expecting from your Facebook, Google+ or Twitter � add friends, post about your passions, discover new people, and plenty more. You can also meet up with people online and enjoy media-type things with each other, sort of like how you can watch a movie with friends in an Xbox Live party.�


But here is the best bit: GFACE makes it possible for you to team up with friends and play games with each other online. So what exactly is new? Well, the role you play within a game is based upon on the device you are using. For example, you could be playing a fps on your computer and you get the identical experience you would from any other first-person shooter. However, your friend could be enjoying the same game on an iPhone but in a secondary role, such as air assistance. While another friend, who has playing on an iPad, turns into the commander and gets a top-down view of the battlefield.

Both friends then become part of your group in a way that you do not generally find in first-person shooters. I do not know about you, but I am really excited about GFACE, despite its unusual name.
